Heavy Cotton T-Shirt
The Gadsden Flag was one of the first flags of the United States before it was replaced by the Stars and Stripes. Its use as a symbol of the American colonies can be traced back to the publications of Benjamin Franklin. We like the Old Glory, but the Gadsden Flag is just badass because it has a coiled rattlesnake on it. It evokes such American imagery, and the words “Don’t Tread on Me” resonate with the desire of independence our founding fathers had. It was almost obligatory for us to make a T-Shirt off of it. It brings us tears of American pride.
We don’t know what it is that always gets us about this design. We feel like saying its better than the current American flag would be treasonous, so we’ll watch what we say. That coiled rattlesnake is too cool and everything about this T-Shirt feels just more badass. Primitive and unrefined? Maybe. But it reminds us of earlier days when we had a deeper hunger for freedom.
